
The güiro (GWEE-row), a rhythm instrument also called a scrape gourd, is played by scraping a comb across a series of lines etched into a seed pod or a gourd. The traditional Puerto Rican güiro is made from a long gourd, approx. 12". Sold with the comb needed to play it.
